It can be very hard to have a good relationship with your body and with food when you don't fit the VERY narrow and unrealistic beauty standards of our culture.
Not to mention, research consistently shows that 1) the only consistent effect of dieting is weight gain (not weight loss) and 2) feeling shame about yourself or your body is terrible for physical and emotional health.
